An exciting part of the parish activities is the Children 's Church on every Sunday morning during school terms at Manilla Anglican Church. It's for children aged 3-12 and is not only lots of fun, but the kids enjoy thinking through a different part of the Bible each week.
The kids start in Church with mums and dads at 9am, then after the Children's Bible reading and a couple of songs with the grownups, they head to the hall for 'Children's Church'.
In Children's Church, two or more leaders teach them from the Bible utilising craft, rhymes, games and songs. They then rejoin the adults at the end of the service for morning tea and to show us all the great things they have been making.
Why not bring your children along? You can enjoy Church while they enjoy Children's Church!
Youth is for kids in years 7-12 and meets in the church grounds from 5-6:30pm on Friday afternoons during School terms. We grapple together with a section of the Bible each week and think about how it impacts our lives. Mixed in with that are some great games and food. We also link into Youth Surge, Youth Muster, Barraba Bash and other inter-youth events across the Diocese. Please contact Dave if you'd like to find out more!
Once a term, the local blokes gather at 7:15am on a Saturday morning for a casual hot breakfast, to chat, and to listen to an interesting speaker at the Manilla Services Club BBQ area. Give Dave a call if you're interested in coming along!
Once a term the ladies gather for afternoon tea at Molly May's Cafe. There’s always an interesting speaker, amazing food, and plenty of ladies to chat with. The ladies also have a book club where a great book is read each term then discussed over a cuppa. Give Dave a call if you would like to find out more.
There’s plenty of other things happening in the Parish including weekly Bible Study Groups, the Men@Glen Conference, the New Life women's conference, the Equip women's conference, Men's camps and more. Feel free to give Dave a call to find out more or come along on any Sunday.
